The Test of Variables of Attention (T.O.V.A.) is an objective, computerized test of attention that assists in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment monitoring of attention disorders such as ADD and ADHD. By precisely measuring reaction times while playing a very simple computer game, and then comparing the results to a similar group of people without attention disorders, the T.O.V.A. provides additional objective data to help clinicians accurately diagnose whether or not someone has ADD/ADHD. It can also help determine the effectiveness and optimum dosage of ADD/ADHD medications. Although we specialize in treating adolescents, we can also administer the T.O.V.A. test to any adult or child aged 6 and older. You can then bring the test results back to your own doctor or therapist if you wish. We are one of the few healthcare providers in the western suburbs of Chicago that can offer this service. Note: Some insurance plans do not cover psychological testing. We can help find out if yours does. Call us today!
